Rankin County's ONLY Weekly Open Mic Returns Sat. Jan. 21st

After a year hiatus award-winning spoken word artist and Rankin County native Cyrus Webb (aka C. A. Webb) is pleased to announce the return of Rankin County's only weekly spoken word night!

"Spoken Word Saturdays" returns on Sat. Jan. 21st and will continue each Saturday at a new location (J& J Deli* 118 Service Drive, Suites 17 * Brandon, MS-- behind Mazzio's) @ 7p.m. et featuring spoken word poem, singing and other creative expressions that are appropriate for a family-friendly event.

"I've missed hosting poetry night," says Webb, 36, who has published 4 poetry chapbooks and produced 2 spoken word cds over the past decade and toured the country with other poets as well. "I'm glad to be back home in Rankin County, and I am excited about giving people a platform to share their work."

"Spoken Word Saturdays" is open to anyone who loves to share their talent or just want to enjoy the experience.
